What is the best sofa bed for my room?

So you're in the market for a sofa bed, huh? Maybe you want to save space, have a guest room alternative, or just love the idea of a couch that transforms into a bed. Whatever your reason, choosing the right size sofa bed is crucial for a seamless transition from day to night (and back again).

Why Size Matters

When it comes to sofa beds, size definitely matters. You don't want to end up with a behemoth that overwhelms your space or a tiny loveseat that leaves your guests cramped and uncomfortable. Consider the dimensions of the room where the sofa bed will live. Measure twice, buy once!

Flat Packed Magic

One of the perks of our sofa beds is that they arrive flat packed, ready to be assembled in the comfort of your own home. This means you don't have to stress about whether it will fit through your narrow doorway or up that tricky staircase. Focus on the room it will reside in, not the obstacles it has to overcome to get there.

Room for Activities

Think about how you'll use the sofa bed. Will it be a main seating area in a studio apartment? A cozy addition to a home office? Or a stylish accent piece in a spare room? Make sure there's enough space to accommodate both the sofa and the bed function without feeling cramped.

Size Guide

Not sure what size sofa bed to choose? Here's a quick guide to help you out:

Loveseat: Perfect for small spaces or as a secondary seating option in a larger room. Great for one person to sleep on comfortably.

Direction the bed opens: Our sofa beds can be divided into 2 styles when it comes to the bed 'direction'. Either the bed opens into the room or it opens along the wall. Let me explain with examples...

The Neah above opens into the room. This means that you or your guest will sleep perpendicular to the back of the sofa bed. Head at the back and toes into the room. This style usually means that it takes up less room as a sofa but will come further into the room when open to a bed. If you have a narrow room and the sofa is going on the shorter wall - this styles usually fits best.

The Movie Night above opens along the wall. This means that the sleeper will lie parallel to the back of the sofa. Head to toe between the armrests. This style usually takes up more space as a sofa, often allowing it to be long enough to sleep on without even opening it (afternoon nap - tv watching sofa - this is the best option!). While it is a longer sofa, it takes up less space into the room when open to a bed. If you have a narrow room and the sofa is going along the long wall - this style usually works best.
